Meet Your Across Sector Leads

Portrait of Smiling Doctor

Rose Martin

I have been in the ASL role since Term Three, 2022. It has been a pleasure beginning the work with the educational sectors of our rohe. I am particularly pleased with the progress we are making with our Transition Challenge and looking forward to progressing the other challenges of the Ruapehu Kahui Ako.

I am loving getting to know more of the teaching staff around the district and I’m looking forward to being more involved in all of our learning centres. I am super excited about the PLD opportunities we are going to be working together on and always happy to help - details below!

ASL Role

The purpose of the Across Sector Lead role is to support improvement in student achievement and well-being by strengthening teaching practice. The role allows ASLs to share their skills and knowledge in new ways across our Kāhui Ako. ASLs learn with and from their colleagues in cycles of inquiry and improvement. ASLs identify opportunities to improve systems and capability to achieve the three RKA Challenges.
